Replacement Policy for Damaged Plants in Transit:
We’re committed to ensuring that every plant arrives at your doorstep healthy and ready to thrive. If, however, you receive a plant that’s damaged in transit, we’re here to help.
- Inspect Immediately: Upon receiving your plant, please inspect it as soon as possible. If you notice any damage, take clear, well-lit photos right away.
- Contact Us Within 3 Days: Reach out to our customer service team within three days of receiving your plant, including the photo(s) as attachments, so we can review the issue.
Assessing Damage
- Superficial Damage: If the damage is minor or cosmetic, we may suggest you proceed with planting. Often, these superficial imperfections do not affect the plant’s ability to grow and thrive.
- Significant Damage: If the photos show substantial damage that will likely prevent the plant from establishing roots or growing, we will arrange a replacement plant to be sent to you promptly.
Thank you for helping us ensure your plants arrive in the best condition possible. We appreciate your understanding and support in keeping our plants healthy and accessible to all.
Plant Care and Replacement Policy:
Our goal is for every plant to arrive at your home ready to thrive. Plants are living things, and their health depends on the care they receive once they reach you. Please follow the steps below to ensure the best possible outcome for your new plants.
Upon Receiving Your Plant
- Immediate Care: When your plant(s) arrive, carefully unpack them right away and give them a thorough watering. It’s normal for your plant to look a bit wilted from the journey, but it should perk up after hydration.
- Planting: Follow the planting instructions provided in the brochure or refer to our website for specific care guidelines. Plant as soon as possible to give your new plant the best chance to establish.
Reporting Concerns and Troubleshooting
- Contact Period: If your plant does not appear to be thriving, please contact us within 3 months of receiving your order. Include a description of the issue along with clear, well-lit photos to help us assess the plant’s condition.
- Troubleshooting: Our team will work with you to diagnose any issues and offer guidance on how to encourage your plant to recover and grow. Many plants respond well to a little extra care and specific adjustments in their environment.
Replacement and Credit Policy
If troubleshooting solutions do not result in a healthier, thriving plant, we offer the following:
- One-Time Credit or Replacement: You may choose either a one-time credit or a replacement plant. Shipping address must be the same as the original order. Customers are responsible for any applicable taxes and shipping costs.
- Conditions:
- Contact Within 3 Months: Requests received beyond the 3-month period are not eligible for credit or replacement.
- Growing Zone Compatibility: Credits or replacements are not provided for plants that do not grow within your designated USDA growing zone. Please check our zone recommendations before purchase to ensure compatibility with your area.
Thank you for choosing us and for taking the time to care for your plants. We’re here to help you on your plant journey and look forward to seeing your new plants thrive!
Live Plants Disclaimer
Our plants are living, breathing elements of nature, and they may not always look “picture perfect.” Because they’re alive, they might arrive with a minor imperfection, such as a broken leaf or stem. These small blemishes don’t affect their health or ability to grow. With proper care, plants typically bounce back quickly and flourish in their new environment.
Understanding Dormant Plants
Some plants, especially certain varieties, may arrive in a dormant state depending on the season. Dormancy is a natural resting phase when a plant conserves energy to prepare for future growth. Dormant plants might appear bare or less vibrant, but they are simply awaiting the right conditions—sunlight, warmth, and water—to start growing again.
Dormant vs. Dead: Quick Test
Sometimes, it can be challenging to tell the difference between a dormant plant and one that has died. Here’s a quick test you can perform to check:
- Scratch Test: Gently scratch a small section of the stem with your fingernail. If you see green beneath the outer layer, the plant is still alive and likely just dormant. If it’s brown and brittle throughout, it may be dead.
- Bend Test: For plants with woody stems, gently bend a stem to see if it’s flexible. If it bends without snapping, it’s likely still alive. A dead stem will usually be dry and break easily.
If you’re ever uncertain, we’re here to help you assess your plant’s condition and offer guidance on its care. Thank you for understanding the natural uniqueness of live plants, and we hope you enjoy watching each plant grow and thrive in your care!
Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change, and we’re here to help. However, due to the nature of our business and the time-sensitive handling of live plants, we have specific guidelines for order cancellations.
Cancellation Guidelines
- Within 4 Hours: If you need to cancel your order, please do so within 4 hours of placing it and we will issue a full refund.
- After 4 Hours: If the cancellation request is received more than 4 hours after placing the order, we will issue a refund, minus a 25% restocking fee. We begin processing your order immediately to ensure your plants arrive in the best condition. So your order is likely already being prepared for shipment.
- After Shipping: Once your order has shipped, it cannot be canceled, and we are unable to offer any refunds.
Thank you for understanding our need to maintain these policies to protect the health and quality of our plants and to provide a positive experience for all customers.
Why Plants Cannot Be Returned
For the health and safety of all our plants and to maintain a healthy, disease-free, and pest-free environment, we cannot accept returned plants. Our nursery is a carefully controlled, sanitized zone that adheres to strict state regulations designed to protect plants from potential pests and diseases.
Once a plant leaves our facility, it is exposed to various environments that may introduce harmful elements. Accepting returned plants could risk contaminating our nursery, impacting not only our stock but also the safety of plants we send to other customers.
We appreciate your understanding as we prioritize the health and quality of our plants for every customer. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and thriving environment for all!
